In 1980s, CMK specialists together with VILS staff had developed radically new technology of manufacturing of the forged wheels for the landing gear.

In 1984–1985, the industrial granule metallurgy production of disk blanks of , the heat-resistant nickel-based alloys, in Stupino Metallurgical Plant.

In 1988 the wheels manufactured by CMK were used in landing of Buran spaceship.

In 1993, the Plant became the joint stock company. Stupino Metallugical Company JSC (CMK) was established in 1999.

Since 1998, the international standards are implemented dynamically in the Company, Quality Management System is established and certified, and the Certificates of Aviation Register of Interstate Aviation Committee and Russian Marine Register are granted to the Company. The Company becomes one of the major exporters in the Moscow Region through exporting the products to the USA, Italy, Japan, Republic of South Korea, and other countries.

In 2007, the granule disk production line was degreased completely and the entire equipment stock was profoundly upgraded with the adoption of new hardware components.

In 2008, in Workshop No. 520 the vacuum induction furnace by Consarc was commissioned to enable the double the heat-resistant material product output.
