Today CMK is in the new development phase: we are upgrading the production, installing the most advanced equipment, and developing new alloys and products. We continue the course that was commenced by our ancestors over 80 years ago, the course of relentless search for new solutions for development of aviation, space, and mechanical engineering.
CMK was always the path finder in the industry, a sort of scientific and production base for the implementation of the advanced technologies.
In 1939, CMK casting operators adopted the casting of the aluminum bulky ingots. More than half of all cover sheets for the Soviet Army were manufactured by the workers of our Company during the World War II. The body of the first Artificial Earth Satellite launched in 1955 was forged in the Forging Workshop of CMK. It was our metallurgists that developed the commercialization of titanium in our country.
And we do not rest on our laurels; our mission is to exceed the market needs, offer new solutions that will enable the performance of the final items to be improved and bring the industry to the new turn of evolution.
