Today our country celebrates Cosmonautics Day! 63 years ago, the dream of many generations of people came true: the first man went up into space. On April 12, 1961, the era of cosmonautics began. On that day, the Vostok launch vehicle put into orbit the Vostok-1 spacecraft with Yuri Gagarin on board.

Cooperation between enterprises and educational institutions is a two-way process. An academic partner benefits in many ways, for example, it establishes continuous networking of students with specialized companies, strengthens the research base, and expands the opportunities for practical skills of students. The most important argument in favor of such cooperation is the opportunity to find young and talented specialists. After all, students who undergo internships or participate in practical projects may become future employees of the company.

The main event of February 1989 was the withdrawal of the limited contingent of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. It was the long-awaited end of a 10-year war that had caused every Soviet person to know that Kabul, Herat, Shindand, Pul-i-Khumri and Kandahar were not just Afghan cities, but the scorcher of a terrible debilitating 10-year war.

The 29th International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo'2023, in which CMK participated as an exhibitor, took place November 7-10 at EXPOCENTRE, Moscow.

Quality is a fundamental dimension of any production, and special attention is paid to it when manufacturing products for critical purposes, such as aircraft engine turbines, pumping devices, and ship engines. There can be no "misfires" here, as safety, proper functioning of machines, life and health of people depend on it.

The 29th International Industrial Exhibition "Metal-Expo" will take place in Moscow from 7th to 10th of November 2023.

The Stupino Local History Museum opened the exposition "Stupino - the City of Labor Valor" dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the city. It covers the period from the founding of Stupino to the present day. The exhibits presented make it possible to trace the whole chain of formation of the town-forming metallurgical enterprise, and together with it the town of Stupino, to see its immortalized military and labor feats, achievements of Stupino residents during the Great Patriotic War.

Good traditions are never in short supply. That is why the next CMK Friends' Race was held in Stupino again. The sports festival has already become one of the brightest sporting events in the city. The event was held in the format of fun starts on the initiative of Stupino Metallurgical Company and traditionally gathered a large number of teams - representatives of Stupino enterprises, institutions, specialized secondary and higher educational institutions, athletes and young people.

A ceremony of awarding certificates to the residents of the municipality, awarded the inscription on the Board of Honor of the city of Stupino was held in the conference room of the district administration. The certificates were handed over by the head of the city district Sergey Muzhalskikh. - On the eve of the city's birthday, we have gathered to recognize our best residents who work for the benefit of their native land. You are the residents of Stupino, thanks to whom our district is developing. Thank you! - said the head of the municipality.

What is a professional holiday? It is an opportunity to express gratitude to the employees of this or that industry for their conscientious labor and achievements in their activities. This year the 85th anniversary of the repair and construction shop No. 960 coincided with the Builder's Day. The solemn event was held in the conference hall of the trade union organization of the company.

Stupino residents celebrated the Day of Physical Education Workers with a big sports festival. The large-scale event under the motto "I Live by Sport" took place in the renovated park named after N.I. Ostrovsky in Stupino. Employees of SMK JSC became its active participants - a total of thirty representatives of the labor collective from the company took to the starting lanes and sports grounds.

The results of the children's drawing contest dedicated to the Metallurgist's Day, in which young talents aged from 4 to 14 took part, have been summarized.

On the square near the bust of Gurgen Vartanovich Viziryan, the founder of the city and the plant, as well as the first director of Plant No. 150 and honorable citizen of Stupino, representatives of all departments of the company gathered.

At CMK, the Youth Day was marked by another interesting event. We are talking about the intellectual game QUIZ PLEASE, which is not only a kind of assessment of the intellectual abilities of Stupino metallurgists, but also a demonstration of their team spirit.

At dawn on June 22, 1941, Nazi Germany attacked the Soviet Union without declaring war. Its air forces delivered massive strikes against airfields, railway junctions, naval bases, places of permanent deployment of troops and many cities to a depth of 250-300 kilometers from the state border.

On the eve of the Health Worker Day, which is celebrated this year on June 18, Stanislav Vladimirovich Levotaev, CMK Acting Chief Engineer, and Viktor Aleksandrovich Bukin, Chairman of The Trade Union Organization, congratulated the doctors of the Stupino Metallurgical Company.

On the eve of the World Metrology Day, the team of the CMK Metrological Service — Shop No. 260, celebrated its 50th anniversary. On April 26, 1973, according to order No. 207, on the basis of the I&C Shop No. 26, the CMK Metrological Service was formed with the task to provide the consistency and accuracy of measurements, reliability of control of product parameters in order to achieve a given level of product quality and production efficiency.

For eight decades, the metallurgical equipment repair shop No. 230 has been operating as CMK part. This is a significant date within the enterprise.

The Victory Day for representatives of the CMK team began traditionally. Without departing from a long-term tradition, they arrived at the Alley of Heroes and laid flowers at the memorials erected in memory of the Stupino inhabitants who fought during the Great Patriotic War.

78 years have passed since the end of the Great Patriotic War, but the great feat of millions of soldiers is still alive in the minds of the people. Despite the fact that more than three quarters of a century separates us from this historical date, it is impossible to erase from memory what the people have suffered. That is why every year on the eve of the holy holiday for all Russians, a variety of events are held to perpetuate the memory of the heroes. The Stupino metallurgists are active participants in these events.

Dear veterans! Dear metallurgists! Congratulations on the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War!

On the square in front of the CMK central entrance, the words of everyone's favorite song are heard: “... Although they are not twenty-five, they had to go through a difficult path. These are those who rose with hostility as one, those who took Berlin... ” In the hands of many people there are red carnations, a St. George ribbon, which has become a symbol of Victory, is pinned on their chest. On May 5, a solemn meeting dedicated to Victory Day was held. It was attended by representatives of the company's team, CMK honored veterans, representatives of the district administration, Council of Veterans, Stupino Technical School named after A.I. Tumanov, Stupino branch of the Moscow Aviation Institute.

A traditional solemn event dedicated to the Labor Day took place in the Great Hall of the Palace of Culture. Veterans of labor, labor dynasties, residents of the City District of Stupino, who made a great contribution to the development of the economy, distinguished themselves in regional competitions of professional skills and trade union activities, were honored on the stage. Schoolchildren, winners of thematic competitions of essays and drawings glorifying workers of various professions were also noted.

QUIZ is a concept that has firmly entered the life of Stupino metallurgists. Thanks to the CMK administration and the trade union committee, the intellectual game has become one of the favorite types of leisure in the company's public life. We have a long-standing partnership with the QUIZ promoters. They admit that they are always happy to be involved in the CMK events, because they are attended by energetic, positively charged, interesting people who always prepare for these events to the maximum and think through the program to the smallest detail: diplomas, medals, honorary and incentive prizes. It should be noted that every year the intellectual game becomes more and more popular.

A master is a specialist who has achieved a high skill in any area. This is probably why, in production, the site foreman should be a person with not only extensive experience, but also high organizational and communication skills that help to effectively manage the production process.

The women's team of the laboratory of express spectral analysis No. 10, shop No. 430 is unanimously sure that the determination of the chemical composition of alloys is a complex, interesting task, and it is mostly women who can do it. The reason is pedantry, scrupulousness, which for the most part are inherent in the fair sex and are so important when carrying out such types of work. The main tasks of the laboratory are to determine the chemical composition of ingots smelted in workshops Nos. 520, 530 and 560. Laboratory assistants analyze samples to determine the suitability of alloys in terms of composition, compliance with technological parameters. The analysis of melting stock, input control of metals is also carried out.

The main event in March is the International Women's Day — the time when men show special attention, care and warmth to their beautiful halves.

On March 7, a solemn event dedicated to the International Women's Day was held at the Active Longevity Club in Stupino.

On February 22, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a solemn meeting was held in the park named after the Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Fomich Polyakov. It was attended by the personnel of the military units located on the territory of the district, pupils of patriotic associations, representatives of enterprises, residents of the city. CMK was represented by a delegation headed by S.A. Kononov — Deputy General Director - Director for Technical Development.

CMK handed letters of thanks to representatives of active youth for participating in physical culture and sports events held in the organization and the city district of Stupino in 2022. The award ceremony was held in an informal setting: in the meeting room in the company's management building.

January 14, 2023 would have marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Fomich Polyakov. On this day, residents of the city of Stupino laid flowers at the bust of the hero in the park under the same name.

In January 2023, CKM received a certificate for a period of 3 years about compliance of the quality management system with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015, issued by the Serbian certification body TMS CEE doo.

There is not a single person who, in childhood, would not believe in Santa Claus, the magic of the New Year and the miracle of Christmas night. And these joyful expectations of the New Year's miracle allow us to sincerely rejoice and be surprised. After all, so many wonderful and kind miracles happen in a person’s life, especially when this miracle is created by the person himself.

After the sports competitions “The Race of CMK’s Friends”, held in September, there were arranged the intellectual competitions, held in the form of a game “LET’S QUIZ” last Friday.

From 8 November to 11 November 2022, the 28th International Industrial Exhibition Metal-Expo was held at the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex at Krasnaya Presnya, where the whole variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy products, modern equipment and the cutting-edge technologies in the field of metallurgy were presented. Each booth at the exhibition was a real work of art: a modern design of a stand space was absolutely amazing. The booth of Stupino Metallurgical Company was no exception.

From 26 through 28 October, Moscow hosted the International Engine Building Forum (IEBF), where Stupino Metallurgical Company presented its products and promising developments.

From 8 November to 11 November 2022 the Expocentre Central Exhibition Complex at Krasnaya Presnya will host the 28th Metal-Expo International Industrial Exhibition, which will present the whole variety of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy products, modern equipment and the cutting-edge technologies in the field of metallurgy.

CMK will take part in the International Engine Building Forum (IEBF-2022), where the Scientific and Technical Engine Building Congress (STEBC-2022) will be hosted. The motto of the IEBD-2022 is “Digital Environment in Aircraft Engine Building”.

October 1 marked the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the production and materials quality control section No. 500. A gala night dedicated to the festive anniversary was held at the Metallurg Palace of Culture. Section workers and veterans received congratulations from the management of CMK and Stupino artists, who prepared a bright artistic performance.

On 3 September 2022 the Metallurg stadium hosted a traditional sports event “THE CMK’S FRIENDS RACE”. This event was arranged on the initiative of Stupino Metallurgical Company, and was dedicated to the celebration of the Stupino City Day and the first anniversary of the city, which was awarded with the title of honor “The City of Labor Valor”.

The grand opening of the City of Labor Merit Stella monument took place on the eve of Stupino’s 84th birthday. It is dedicated to the labor feat of the residents, who ensured continuous production of military and civilian products during the Great Patriotic War. The very same day the year before, on 10 September 2021, the President of Russia signed a relevant decree on awarding the honorary title to Stupino. The community of Stupino initiated the proposal of awarding this honorary title to the city, and 63,246 votes of residents were collected in support of this decision.

The All-Russia Day of sportsman was celebrated in Stupino. The event was arranged at several sites. Athletes over 18 years of age participated in the competition. It was possible to get a Ready for Labor and Defense badge by passing relevant tests, as well as play football, beach volleyball and draughts.

A regular excursion for students of Stupino branch of MAI was held at CMK. Its attendees were the students of the program track “Materials Science and Technology of Materials” of the TSO-201B-20 group. As the head of PCD Ekaterina Polukhina notes:

Last Friday, a conference was held on extending the Collective Bargaining Agreement for a period from 2022 to 2025. The Collective Bargaining Agreement at CMK is a legal act regulating the social and labor relations between the employer and the Company employees.

History has lost track of when and by whom the idea was first proposed to place the portraits of the top performers of Plant No. 150 on the Wall of Honor, but it was this initiative that gave birth to a wonderful tradition.

Congratulations to our colleagues on their well-deserved awards! The Russian Science Day is celebrated annually on February 8. It was first celebrated during the commemoration of the 275th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1999.

New Year is one of the most important holidays for the majority of residents of our country, especially for children! And the presentation of New Year's gifts is a bright and pleasant tradition during these winter holidays. So last week Stupino Metallurgical Company congratulated the pupils of "Albatros", Stupino Social‑ Rehabilitation Center for Minors, on the upcoming New Year and the Nativity. For this purpose, by the decision of the management of CMK, 40 New Year's gifts were purchased.

At the end of November, within the framework of ProMolodezh Youth Forum, MediaAkcent creative laboratory was opened. The main goal is to show how you can earn money on modern social platforms, develop yourself, improve your style, as well as pass training practices, seminars, psychological trainings and much more.

The health of Stupino residents and CMK workers is a top priority today. Therefore, at the initiative of the management of Stupino Metallurgical Company, a campaign was held to transfer bed linen to the department for the treatment of patients with coronavirus of the Stupino Regional Clinical Hospital.

The leaders of the world metallurgy, 5,000 delegates, 300 speakers on the most relevant topics of the global metals industry, dozens of scientific and practical conferences and round tables, hundreds of strategic meetings and negotiations, thousands of visitors – this will be the XXVII International Industrial Exhibition Metall-Expo'2021, which will be held from November 11 to 13 in Moscow, in Expocentr Central Exhibition Complex on Krasnaya Presnya.

The competitions, which took place on September 10 at the Metallurg stadium, were organized by the Youth Council of CMK with the support of the Trade Union Committee of the Company and were dedicated to two anniversaries at once – of Stupino Metallurgical Company and of Metallurg Sports Complex.

Yesterday, a festive event was held on the territory of CMK at the monument to G.V. Vizirian, the founder of the plant, in honor of awarding Stupino the honorary title of the Town of Labor Valor. The ceremonial event was attended by S.G. Muzhalskikh, the head of Stupino municipality, P.I.Chelpan, Chairman of the Council of Deputies of Stupino municipality, Honored veterans of CMK, A.I. Kretov, Chairman of the Stupino Veterans Organization, representatives of CMK employees and many others.

Yesterday, the doors of all educational institutions were opened again to give a start to the new academic year! Knowledge Day is always solemn, tremulous, exciting, especially for parents whose children enter schools for the first time and begin to discover a new world of knowledge, new themselves and new friends, growing up, overcoming difficulties and conquering new heights. Since 1984, September 1 has been declared a national holiday — the Knowledge Day.

Children of Stupino metallurgists traditionally have a possibility to spend sunny days of summer in children’s holiday camp.

The construction workshop of CMK is indeed the oldest department at the plant. Metallurgist-constructors laid the foundation, erected the walls of the first workshops, they trenched, installed furnaces and hammers, took direct part in realization of company departments modernization programmes and renewal of building facades, ensured quality improvement of social working conditions.
